Every Wednesday, we here at sd&if bring you a glorious little internet gem to distract you from work. It’s just our little way of saying “FU” to “the Man.”

In Summary: Narcotics Anonymous sagas in 50 words or less. [via] [via]

Hemmingway’s famous “For sale: baby shoes. Never worn.” taught us that an entire story could be told in six words. How about an entire life dealing with addiction? The poster at MAGBLOG decided six didn’t quite cut it. How about 50? Works for us.

sd&if favorite:

Atonement

He was a very bad man. He said that he’d killed over thirty men in cold blood. “Pinning Juan to the door.” was how he put it. When he got clean, he had a lot for which to atone, so he helped addicts escape Hell. I’ll never forget the bastard.

There’s a lot of pain/beauty/horror/humor there. And we think that is amazing.

Also, we know “Your Midweek Distraction” is usually less serious. So, if you need a chuckle, here’s the fake Larry King Twitter. Oh sweet lord, we wish it weren’t fake…
